History. you’ve wasted your time and wasting mine failing to be somebody. you want to be forgotten, cut like the rest? or do you want to stand up and fucking be somebody?
Like any new high school graduate, once Alex Zanetakis was out of high school, he wanted nothing more than to get away from everything he'd ever known. Alex had been born and raised in Seattle, Washington, just like his parents before him. So when Alex applied to college, he applied to schools up and down the East Coast - everything that was farthest away from everything he'd ever known. But it wasn't just his family and his former life that he wanted to get away from. What Alex really wanted was the chance to leave Alexa Zanetakis behind, and be the person he'd always through he was, and the person he always wanted to be. The problem with Alexa Zanetakis was that she was David and Andrea Zanetakis's eldest child. She was their smartest and brightest child, the baby girl that they loved and supported and would do anything for. They'd support her in whatever she wanted. They would support her even if what she wanted was to move to New York City, go to nursing school, and start living her life as a boy. Years of therapy had gotten Alex to the point where he was ready to start his transition. Alex spent the summer between high school and college starting treatments of T and finding a therapist who would be able to continue helping him once he was in New York. When Alex finished college, it was easy to find work as a nurse in an E.R., stay in New York, and forget he'd ever led another life back in Seattle. Unfortunately, no matter how good his life had become in New York, even after nearly 12 years and at almost 30, Alex's father's cancer diagnosis has spurred him to move back to Seattle.
Currently, Alex is seeking a job in an area hospital, while also helping take care of his father.
Facts. when the light starts to burn, and the pain returns, i just wish that i could heal the hurt you feel tonight. there's life in your veins. these needles are chains to hold you down. how can you expect to win this war? you're too afraid to fight.
Alex is currently living with his parents in his old bedroom in his parents' home. He hasn't yet decided if he's going to try and find his own place to live, because he's still not sure how long he's going to be back in Seattle. Though currently unemployed, Alex is actively seeking a place to work, preferably in an E.R. But after spending so much time chauffeuring his dad to and from treatments and doctor appointments, he'll take a job doing anything, even if it means slinging coffee at Starbucks. (Only, not really - he's only applying in hospitals.) Alex is still currently saving money for gender reassignment surgery. Despite having lived as a man for the past 12 years of his life, between student loans and the cost of living in New York, he hasn't had the funds to pay for the full reassignment. He's close; he hopes to have the opportunity by the end of the year. Many people think that it's strange Alex chose to go into nursing, as opposed to going on to become a doctor. But truthfully, he wanted to be able to help people immediately, and to be more hands on than a doctor sweeping into the room to give someone a cursory glance. Having to rearrange his life around his parents is extremely frustrating for Alex. He doesn't have a job, he uses his father's car to drive him to and from appointments, and he doesn't know anyone in Seattle. In his free time, which Alex currently has an abundance of, he splits his time between drawing, writing, and playing music. Some of these things he's better at than others. ----------------------------------------------------- out of character. OOC STUFFS OOC STUFFS OOC STUFFS.
